Unfortunately, an app requires constant maintenance and ongoing investment for upkeep and I can't continue to keep it running.
The original idea was for a book, but I admit I got swept up in the 'this is what you need to do - apps are all the in thing' hype and so I veered right away from what I was originally trying to create.
I don't regret the process, I have learnt so much along the way and the information for my cookbook is now more clearly collated than it was before.
I will go back to putting it together in book form, even if only to pass on to my children as our recipes really are family favourites that will be loved by future generations.
I am steering right back to tangible items. I love books and favourite handwritten recipe collections. It is the first day of 2018 and my New Year's Resolution is for much less digital life and much more life in the real and tangible.
